Our Voice at the Gender Equality Forum in Brussels

Last week, our very own Sasha Novikova had the honor of representing Migrant Women Network at the EU Gender Equality Forum, held in Brussels on December 10–11 and organized by @eu_genderequality.

Sasha joined an inspiring panel discussion titled “Through Our Eyes: Young Migrant Women’s Experiences in the EU”, alongside Engle Puidokaite, Shamima Oshurbekova, and Mina Sadat. During her talk, she shared her personal journey as a young migrant woman living in Greece, shedding light on the ongoing challenges women migrants face — even after years of contributing to their communities.

She passionately called for greater recognition of the diverse experiences and contributions of migrant women, and the urgent need for inclusive policies that empower them to thrive and live independently.

A heartfelt thank-you to Migrant Women Network for their trust and support!
